Disconnect

What it does

The command leaves the running teamwork session: it closes every connection (LAN and MQTT), stops data and formatting sync, and clears the teammate cursor shapes that were drawn on the sheet.

Use it when the working session is over, when you want to edit a private copy that nobody else should see, or when the network is unstable and you would rather reconnect from scratch.

How to use

1. Click DVD Cons → Connection → Disconnect.
2. The add-in closes all connections for the current session.
3. Teammate cursor shapes (Cursor_…, Grp_Cursor_…) on the active sheet are deleted automatically.
4. A confirmation box "Disconnected!" appears — click to dismiss it.

Example

The QS team has just finished reviewing the BoQ over a LAN session. Before everyone splits off to their own scope, each member clicks Disconnect: cells held by others stop flashing, the named cursor shapes disappear from the sheet, and from now on every edit stays local. The host then reopens Connect and clicks ■ Stop Server to shut the service down completely.

Notes

• The command only disconnects your machine; to end the session for everyone, the host must click ■ Stop Server in the Connect window.
• Cursor shapes are cleaned on the active sheet only — if Cursor_… shapes remain on other sheets, open each one and run the command again.
• Data already synced to your machine stays as it is; disconnecting does not roll back received changes.
• After disconnecting, Send Format silently does nothing because there is no session to send to.
• Clicking the command when not connected is harmless — you still get the "Disconnected!" confirmation.
